Every new tab

This is your new tab now.

One calm page of notes and to dos, right where you already look dozens of times a day. Write something once and you’ll keep bumping into it until it’s done.

Forgetful in a new tab: a page headed This week, with to dos for today, a list of ideas and a few reading links

How it works

Three steps. That’s it.

No app to open, no account to create, nothing to set up.

  1. Open a new tab

Your notes are already there, waiting where you’ll see them.

  2. Write it down

Type on the page, or press Alt Shift N on any website to add a task without leaving it.

  3. Tick it off

It stays in front of you in every new tab until it’s done. Then enjoy the quiet.

What’s inside

Small on purpose.

Everything you need to stop holding it all in your head, and nothing that gets in the way.

Questions

Good to know.

What is Forgetful?

Forgetful is a Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page with one calm page of notes and to dos. Because you open new tabs all day, your tasks stay in front of you until they’re done. It needs no account, keeps your notes in your browser, and works with Claude.

How much does Forgetful cost?

It’s free for 30 days with every feature. After that it’s $4.99 for a year or $12.99 once for lifetime use. Nothing renews or charges automatically.

What happens when the free trial ends?

Your notes stay right where they are. You can still read them, tick off tasks and export everything. To add or change notes, choose a plan: $4.99 for a year or $12.99 once.

Can you see my notes?

No. Your notes live in your browser and sync through your own Chrome profile. If you connect Claude, your page is stored encrypted on our server, and it’s unlocked only to answer what Claude asks while it’s connected. We never keep a readable copy.

How do I connect Claude?

In Claude, add Forgetful as a custom connector with the address https://sync.forgetful.me/mcp. When it asks you to sign in, open Settings in a Forgetful tab, choose “Connect Claude…” and paste the code it gives you. Works with any Claude plan that supports custom connectors.

Does it work on more than one computer?

Yes. With Chrome sync on, your notes follow you to every computer where you’re signed in to Chrome, and your plan comes with them.

What if I don’t want to see my notes for a while?

Click the eye in the corner, or press ⌘ Shift . (Ctrl Shift . on Windows). Your notes blur and stay hidden in every new tab until you show them again.

Can I take my notes with me?

Any time. Export them as Markdown or download a full backup from Settings, even after a trial or plan has ended.

Make some room in your head.
